Personal story
Shawn's story
After four years of unsheltered homelessness, Shawn discovered Multnomah County’s Behavioral Health Resource Center. After participating in services through the building’s day center, he transitioned through the facility’s shelter program, which is funded by the Supportive Housing Services Measure. From there, he moved into the program’s bridge housing program before moving into a sobriety housing development nearby. The Behavioral Health Resource Center is operated in partnership with Do Good Multnomah and Mental Health & Addiction Association of Oregon.
